DJ + Brittany - an engagament session

DJ and Brittany have become good friends over the last six months. After Tom and I were in a class together at church with them, we totally clicked as couples! They are so much fun to hang out with and very much in love. I love looking at a couple and knowing they were ment to be together. I see that in them. Tom and I were that way… once I met him, it was over. I KNEW that he was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. And almost 13 years later, I am more in love with him now than I was when I married him. I am a blessed lady indeed!!

DJ and Brittany set out with us for a fun session here in Wentzville, MO. It was a little windy as the sun set that evening. We would have to dart in and out behind buildings to find the right light AND enough coverage from the cool wind blowing in. Brittany was such a good sport and rocked the session… even with her hair blowing wildly in some of the images!!

I love how he is looking at her in the image below… SO sweet!!

We are so blessed to know you both!! Can’t wait until June!

It’s a… baby… girl! Well, girl(s) really!

I have so much GIRLY news I can’t even stand it!! My little sister had her second baby GIRL this week and I can’t wait to get my hands on her! I will be making it down to Georgia this month to kiss her little tiny face and sniff her sweeet neck!! My family better get “all the loves” while they can… I will be there soon!!!

I was also up in downtown Minneapolis this past week shooting a wedding with the fab-u-lous Mindy Miller.
She just found out this week that she will be having a baby GIRL this summer!!

Oh how I love babies!! They make me oh so happy!!

We were able to grab some amazing images of her little - baby - belly bump and made a rockin’ sign to share the news… It’s a Girl!!

Emmaus Homes 2009 Red Carpet Gala

This weekend I had the pleasure of supporting Emmaus Homes at their annual Open Your Heart Event.

I have made some amazing friends around Emmaus and has been a joy for me to be able to work with them through the planning process this year.

I was so excited to be able to jam out to the Galaxy band… they totally ROCK!

Jenny & Justin will have them at their wedding in September… can’t wait!!

Yes… Elvis was in the building!!

OK, totally one of my favorite couples. They are getting married soon and they are SO in love!!

SShhhhh…. Tom and I jumped into the photobooth while dinner was served. So much fun… love ya babe!

Sugar + Spice = Everything Nice

I love working with kids… I think it is because I am still a bit of a kid myself. When we first started off our session with this sweet family, the girls were acting a little shy and reserved. After searching for fairies in the woods and looking for pumpkins in the garden, it was the game of hide and seek that got their true personalities flowing!!

We let mom and dad play a little, too!

I love when I end a session and I have new best friends!! Thanks ladies… you were fabulous!!
